How Long Does It Take To Learn Spanish

Every person who sets off to learn a foreign language wonders How much time do you need to invest so that you can learn a foreign language in a appropriate amount of time. With there being so many different or alternative ways to learn how to verbalize a foreign language there has to be one that fits your style. Everyone wanting to learn should figure out the answer to this question The problem is that everyone is a little different so there is no one answer that fits all solution.

Here are some questions to consider:

Does everyone learn at the same pace? While in a classroom setting did you ever come to class without having your homework completed and then slowly begin to fall behind? Have you thought about the method that best suits your learning ability? private,schoolroom or home study? What kind of learning place do you flourish in? If you choose a private tutor then price is a consideration. If classroom then will there be a few students or many students? Before you select the method of learning Spanish that's right for you try to think about what is the best learning method or format that you enjoy. Think about how much the Spanish course is going to cost and how much time you have to commit to your learning.

Knowing the answer to your learning methodology, your price range and your time commitment is very important. Many people have learned conversational Spanish within six months or less, and are fluent in speaking Spanish in many different settings. Other Spanish speaking students have studied Spanish off and on for years, and are pleased to have only knowing a basic Spanish communication skills. Although many people try and fail to learn a language the many that succeed do so because they are keen and focused and really made an effort.

What Learning ability do you have? Are you a Spanish learning machine or the stumbler? This question can only be answered by you.
If you are keen and hungry to learn Spanish and keep uniform focus then you will learn to speak Spanish no problem. On the other hand if your only learning on a whim then you will fail. It would be impossible for me to guess how much time you need to learn Spanish as I don't know how committed you are to your learning or what course you have selected.

Look within yourself for your reasons for wanting to learn Spanish. If they are good valid reasons and not just "I have a two week vacation in Spain coming up". Really think about the time commitment as you will be doing this for a long time. There are many things to occupy your time without you adding a language into the mix. If you commit to learning a language then you will be sacrificing other activities.

A private tutor is the most expensive. You can salvage some money by signing up for a class but remember that you will go at the pace of the slowest learner. Sometimes taking a whole year just to complete a basic foundation in a language.
